Impact/SQL - Utilities

The Utilities module is utilized to configure Impact/SQL uniquely for each company. There are a large number of features available in the various modules, and their availability is controlled through the Utilities module. In addition, a large number of user tables are maintained through this module. These user tables are primarily used to fill dropdown menus in the assorted modules (such as Vesting Descriptions, Cities, Counties, Transaction Types, Income Codes, etc.). User access rights are controlled in Utilities. There are also a number of utility functions, available to the system administrator, that are used to perform special, infrequent functions – such as loading an updated Federal Reserve Bank listing of ABA numbers (used to confirm the ABA numbers entered on outgoing wire transfer requests), or importing Name and Address File (NAF) data, for example. The Utilities manual should be studied carefully, and USA Digital Solutions personnel should be consulted with questions, before the System Configuration Worksheet is completed by a new client, so that they take full advantage of all the features that will serve their company.
